Getting this far took around 3 weeks, partly because I was holidaying in Spain at the time. I've since modified the program to have more conventional (read: not indicative of colourblindness) colours. Credit to Ben Lei for the 'scalable' idea. Also, thank you SSP 2008 for making me learn VPython.
Can download code here (note: it's really ad-hoc since I'm self-taught. Let me know of bugs): http://web.mit.edu/~avantis/Public/scalablerubiksx.py
Also check out the sudokube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fLvs5nvT2j8
If you are willing to try it out (I'm sure it still has hidden bugs), do tell me. I'd prefer it if I know who you are, but if you can convince me that I can trust you not to submit my code as your homework assignment, I wouldn't mind.
everything is running great and it looks pretty good so far! Haven't had any problems with it besides when it asked me for the dimensions i typed "3X3" and it crashed lol...then I just entered "3" and it worked just fine :) even tried a 5X5 lol

@mitchthesnowboarder1 (Avian020391 here) I'd be delighted! I added a link on the description to a place from where you can download the code. Let me know if you get vpython and such running!

That's pretty awesome dude. I'd be glad to test this bad boy out. No, it's not for a homework assignment of mine (programming is just a hobby of mine). Let me know if you want me to test it
