ya i went there this weekend and they do certify you.

Average dive -- what was the "must see"?

There were yellow tangs hiding inside that steep patch! neat. I think I snorkeled above this or something just like it in largo, saw a few thousand blue tangs go by, and 2 nurse sharks.

depends on where you go islas coronado is great not really any current

That's alright. There are also some 3-day courses if Florida. These are really good to take because you get to get certified and you get to dive in the beautiful waters of the Keys. But, I don't believe that Pennekamp certifies you, but you will have no trouble finding a dive shop there. Hope this helps!

That would be awesome, but you see, I have no Scuba places around here, and so no where to dive... But yeah, I think I'll do that! Thanks for the reply and info!

Or, if you are intrested in becoming a certified SCUBA diver, you can go to your local dive shop and get certified. It will pay for itself after a couple of dives, and is a good thing to have.

I would love to do that, but it would be hard to get there considering that I live in Boston. My grandmother lives in Miami, so this is really convient. It sounds like it would be a great dive, though, to go in San Diego. Just one question, how strong are the currents? Because up here in Boston they are almost impossible to deal with. Thanks
