Death of USED Video Games ala Xbox 720 Rumors / An Open Letter to Microsoft Sony & Nintendo

Needless to say I don't like the idea but I get that the companies need to make money so let's find something that makes all of us happy.

I doubt they would do something like this.Very few people, casual or hardcore gamers would tolerate it. I wouldn't.It's too much. What I'm really wondering is how expensive the next generation will be. The current generation especially in the beginning was incredibly expensive.

@asx516 Yeah we'll see. I know initially Sony and microsoft were losing money on the first run of consoles and didn't start making money until they lowered the price points, so here's hoping they learned a lesson. I'm likely buying a Wii U to start with because Nintendo has been good about keeping things cheap and I feel like they learned a lesson with the weak internet play.

wouldnt that just murder the video game rental indistry? Hell, I found alot of the coolest game I ever bought from video game rentals.

I have alot of respect for you now, you actually consider the other sides position rather then just getting pissed and ranting about them. Its still bull that they might be doing this, and i agree with you 100% on the whole thing about how to make it better.

@witchdrtoledo Yeah unfortunately you speak the truth, they don't care if used sales build fanfare or good will toward the product and results in life long fans. Used sales haven't hurt mario, halo or other classic icons and gaming staples. It's not gamestops fault, it's the companies for being greedy...not only do they charge for DLC but now this. @edzim10

Prime example: Battlefield 3 I bought it used not knowing that I needed an "Online Pass" smh :/ I was pissed

I mean we payed for it. We should be able to do whatever we want with it.

They are getting enough money as it is. I would say that we are becoming out of pocket and they are benefiting not the other way around

Only games I buy new is black ops madden and 2k.... Iwill never EVER party more then$25 for any other game I don't care how good it is
