gateway nv59c review

this is my review on the gateway nv59c laptop. this laptop is very very nice and i would suggest this laptop to anybody who is looking for a new laptop and doesnt want to pay to much. it has intel core i3-330m processor, 4 GB ram, 320 GB harddrive, Blu-ray player,1280 x 1024 webcam, full keyboard with a numpad,15.6 inch screen, 3 usb ports, hdmi port, vga port, headphone and microphone jack,and loud speakers. this laptop gets absolutly no finger prints on it unless your hand are greasy but if they are you probly should wash your hands before you use any laptop. the speakers are actualy pretty loud and the power brick is really small its smaller then a macs power brick. it also has a multitouch mouse pad. this laptop barley gets hot so it will not burn your leg off when your using it and the fan is very quiet. for $699 this laptop is a steal. so go check one out for yourself and you will be hooked.

Hi,

May i ask you a question? Does the webcam come with a built in light too? I bought this laptop to my mom, but unfortunately she did not like the quality of the webcam, it was dark at the edge, so do you have the same problem? Do you know if there is a way that we can change the setting to make it look better?

@minamadi you can change the quality but once you go past 1280x800 it wont let you take video but you can still take pics. i dont really use the webcam that much so im sorry i cant really help you with your problem.

Hello. Thank you for this review. I wanna ask you about the quality of the webcam; is it any good? (Im thinking of getting this laptop, but Im worried about webcam quality as I will be primarily using it for video conferencing). Also now that you have been using it for several months, are you encountering any problems with this laptop? Will you still highly recommend it after having used it for sometime now? @xameron7 the webcam quality is alittle grainy and dark but you could always buy a HD webcam for like $70-$100.

Also i will be making a "after thoughts" so to call it review in the upcoming week. my adivce for you is go to bestbuy or where ever else this laptop is in stock and test it out and the webcam.

@annihilatorVS1 actually no. this video was more than a year ago. Gateway doesn't even sell these outdated specs on this model... anyways this laptop would still sell for higher than 350$ new. I would buy it for 350 lol
