  • I'm disgusted - RapiHD was designed to be useable on ANY CUDA Hardware... But Adobe have licensed it and CRIPPLED it for anything other than QuadroCX GPUs... So I'm sitting here with 2x SLI GTX "60 Black Editions which are next to useless in Premiere thanks to corporate greed. Surely both companies would make more money if they just opened up the plugin for use on all CUDA hardware!?

  • Hardly the case, with folding at home at least ATI's 2900 and 3800s are several times faster at processing information then the PS3 is and about half the price. I imagine the same would apply for encoding video as well.

  • what about converting xvid to dvd or 720p mkv to DVD?

  • is there an ati version of this?

  • @agungk Not sure

  • ya but for the speed the quality is not bad at all. im sure it will only improve...I hope.

  • badaboom is a horrible video encoder. Not optimized yet. Sure it's fast but the compression is horrible and the quality isn't good. NO current SLI support

Ripbot264 is so much more talented. Sure it uses CPU but the quality and compression ratio is 10x better than badaboom

    BADABOM v2 wish list

    2-pass filters for quality

    MVK support

    AutoCrop...ugly grey borders

Better compression. 2hr mp4 for iphone doesn't need to be 2.5gb...400-500mb is much better

I know nvidia will never make this happen

  • Yes, but the actual applications (such as video transcoder like RapiHD above) don't. Cuda only provides a programming interface to the NVidia chips.

  • How about Avivo?

And for generic applications, Stream Computing from AMD?

  • WTF? Damn that is fast.
