  • However bad or good the movie, Zucco always gave 100%.

  • George Zucco is great here, as always!! Although he does forcibly remind me of David Horton in "The Vicar of Dibley".

  • This is one of the most underrated of all the Universal horror movies. Extremely well made, with great performances, and an eerie mood where horror meets noir. The sadly forgotten David Bruce is excellent as both Ted and the Ghoul. George Zucco is so wonderfully evil, and this is probably his most evil role. Such a bastard! Turhan Bey isn't given much to do, but his mere precense is wonderful!

Awfully underrated, especially amongst the Universal horror movies!

  • George zucco adds a element of camp danger to any movie he's in with that silky deep voice and black hypnotic eyes. Nice to see Turhan Bey here to ---such an elegent handsome, exotic presence---with eyes to make any susestable woman swoon. He was one of the few Turkish American actors in H'wood--hooray for diversity--everybod can't be from Ohio!!

  • You can't better then Zucco, Turhan Bey (I always wait for him to be shown bringing back the Mummy when I see him in a film), Evelyn Ankers. I read a interview with Ankers husband Richard Denning in the 90's, in which he told his wife hated making movies, and could not wait to get free of her contract, her somtimes co star Lon Chaney Jr often drunk picked on her all the time, once it resulted in a fist fight with her husband Denning at a awards show.

  • Loved Evelyn Ankers!

  • George Zucco had that exotic "don't touch-me-you-don't-know-me-that well" mysterious foreigner air about him. I'm glad "The Mad Ghhoul" was reissued.
