I didn't say that you did imply that. I was just asking you the question. It seems that the media like to promote femininity as normal and respectable, whilst they denounce masculinity as negative and damaging. I just wanted to know your opinion on whether there is really any adequate excuse for such sexist conduct.

I never said that it was okay to be feminine but not masculine in my comment. How did you infer that I was trying to insinuate that? And I don't think it's okay to be feminine but not masculine. However, I think that strict expectations of people based on gender is harmful to both men and women.

Just one question. Why is it okay to be feminine, but not okay to be masculine?

There needs to be much more masculine sexism in the media than there is now. Because, the feminine sexism is dominating the media, and is probably not going to go away for a long time, because apparently, sexism against men is okay. It's sickening that there is so little respect for masculinity, yet so much support for femininity.

Look for the documentary "Tough Guise"...I think it's here on YT. It does a better job, in my opinion, of presenting the ideas mentioned in this video.

Do you know the phrase, "First come, first serve"?

That applies here. Before the morals of the story, the objections Sanjay talks about here occur BEFORE those morals. So when children will see such objections, they will then either see the moral as cheesy and not listen to it, or not even regard the moral. Better yet, most likely, they won't even SEE the moral, because lesson in Disney films is sometimes badly implied.

this video has such holes in in.

Ya, mulan did join and was considered weak, but wasn't the point of the movie that she prooved herself? Or did you miss that?
And what about little mermaid, how the fuck is eric treating her as an object? If anything, she can't talk and he still respects her!
And okay, guston was a bit of a maucho man, but BELLE FALLS FOR THE BEAST!!!!!!! showing what? appearance doesn't matter!

Not to mention most of those stereotypes, if you look closely, was used to make the viewer feel as if it were wrong or not true. Take for instance Geston from Beauty and the Beast for example. His "traditionality" made him a hateful character and something not to aspire to. Mulan was an example of how women can be just as trong as men and the song show that the men were clueless and superficial they were being.
