Gaston was the antagonist, who boys don't look up to... Beast does show vulnerability and humiliation in what his pride and conceitedness (like Gaston's) turned him into a foul creature..

Hercules is written historically as a fierce warrior, the son of a God, why in the hell would Disney portray him without muscle? doesn't make much sense does it?

Lion King- study the way that Lions interact, or animals in general (Tarzan, male gorilla is the leader... just like in nature)

    Out of Context much?

I generally agree with this video. I found the only scene taken grossly out of context is where Gaston is attacking the Beast. In this scene, it is Gaston's brutality that is looked upon with scorn, and the Beast's refusal to fight that inspires Belle's love and the compassion of the audience.

I disagree that boys are left feeling physically inadequate and emotionally detached after watching a Disney film. That is a completely unfounded statement.

I was less than 10 when I watched Beauty and the Beast the first time and I clearly understood that Gaston was the bad guy. Also what about the Hunchback of Noterdam? The Arisocats? The Great Mouse Detective? Pinocchio? The Jungle Book? 101 Dalmations? Robin Hood? I agree that sometimes what you are saying is true, but not absolutely always. I always thought it stank that Ezmeralda didn't see the value of Quasimodo's heart though, he's one of my favorites. :(

I doubt the creator is gay, these qualities are hard wired into men since our creation (men instincts dictate it and girls just love that about men and they cheerleader us)

The logic in this is so severely flawed, I don't know where to begin. If anyone feels that every Disney film portrays the main male protagonists to be handsome, broad chested, and muscular, then you are forgetting about characters like Quasimodo, Emperor Kuzco, Pinnocio, Mowgli, Robin Hood, Peter Pan, The Beast, and many others.

Men in these films come in all shapes, sizes, and beauty. The most variation you'll find in the women is clothing and hair color.

This is inaccurate as hell, all the examples they showed for the presentation of masculinity is through the main antagonist of the film, so the one you are supposed to frown upon.

And when he says that the culmination is a fight between two men for a woman, that isn't entirely true. It is rather the fight between one man who has been forced to fight after being bullied for the whole film (the good guy) and the bad guy who has been doing the bullying, and the good guy has won the girls heart.
