I've actually started somewhat liking the vocals too, however I hate it how it has to be called "groove metal".. same with lamb of god, machine head and the shit that's just metalcore

That is true, bad singers ruin a lot of bands, but i wonder how some people can say it here... damn sound and vocals are just perfect and unbelievably powerfull !!
