This was the LAST news cast ever of CKX Brandon that has been on air for 54 years. Who knows, maybe it could be me next, or you...

  • I have zero love for the Cable and Satellite companies as I know these greedy companies are also ripping me off to no end but ultimately any fee / tax is going to be passed on to me, the consumer and I refuse to pay anymore then what I am already being gouged. I'm fighting back this time and I'm refusing to pay "Corporate Welfare" to these "Private Broadcasters". If this tax passes, I'm going to cancel my cable and go total Black Market for my TV. By the way, where's my bailout?

  • My contempt for the C.R.T.C. and this current federal government is growing. How dare you try to steal more money out of my pockets like this. This is supposed to be a free market economy. If these private broadcasters can't make it on their own, then it's time to do what every other free market company in Canada has to do in these hard times and that is down size your company or close the damn doors.

  • CKX is a prime example of how all T.V. Broadcasters in Canada should be conducting their businesses. If you have a local T.V. station in a market that really can't support it, then you either down size that T.V. station or close the damn doors. Now, privately owned T.V. broadcasters in Canada that are losing money because of "poor management" want subscribers of Satellite and Cable to boost their profits through a tax of $10.00 a month extra on their monthly bill. This is total insanity.
