The Residents perform the Elvis Presley number in their own inimitable style. From the great Night Music program.

  • Pee-Wees Playhouse...in hell

  • Interestingly, The Residents actually did the music for several episodes of Pee Wee's Playhouse.

  • Because The Residents gives you a song, and a show.

Because The Residents are by far, the most interesting band of this era.

And, because those puppets are creepy looking....Thats why, this is good

  • True artists.

  • @MarquisEstelle

I find the music of residents very interesting and unique... even when they don't have vocal parts...

There is a different kind of musicality... even i dare say ...virtuosity in the way they play, it's not just the theatric act and their shows... 'though i must admit that i have not missed a single one of their performances in Greece since 1990 when they came to Athens for the first time to do this show.. UNFORGETABLE experience !

  • They may indeed be the most interesting band of this era....but not for musical reasons, just plain weirdness, oddballness. Even at this the sparse renditions of these songs are extremely crude and almost non-musical, which is itself interesting. But let's face it, there is no musicianship here, just textured compositions in the service of an interpretive vocal. I don't get it, I don't know if anyone can get this music, not even them.

there is a reason it reminds you of Primus. Les Claypool imitates these guys constantly. that song , Skinny, thats a residents song man...

  • GOOD ole' talent!...yet new, exciting and entertaining...reminds me of Primus:) love Primus:)

  • This is totally awesome.
