Gibson Les Paul Standard 1990 - Matt's Blues - Matt Thorpe

I just put the original 490R pickup back in the neck position. This is the best neck pickup for the LP despite the worlds pre-occupation with recreating everything that is vintage, Gibson's nuturing of this ideal, and subsequent milking of it for every available dollar of profit. This pickup, IMO, has a richness and warmth that others, even in the Gibson range, fail to come close to. Recorded direct using PODxt.

@Denzilmac Hi - No the Hot Slag was several pickups ago! This particularly bridge pickup is one I made from other pickup and or new parts and a specifc magnet after much trial and error research.
