I dare everyone to upload the film "The Wizard of Speed and Time" on YouTube
This film needs the respect and recognition it deserves!

The Wizard is putting his broken studio back in order by using magic. Things get a little out of hand, though.

it's only one of the most awesome stop-motion sequences in a movie EVER.

Actually this only the first half of the clip

Only the first verse is different. It goes:
"I am the Wizard of Speed and Time.
I've got magic to let you shine.
Wise to the wonders, step into the scene.
I can help you find your dream."

any chance you know the lyrics to the 1979 short by the same title and author?
it's a slightly different song, hard to hear on youtube, and it's longer. about a minute.

This is why this movie creeped me out. He always reminded me of some evil druid instead of a wizard.

Its funny that no one has mentioned that when it starts to strobe images, that every other frame has a message painted into the cell hidden amongst the walls fences clouds ect. you cant see them here but with a 3 head video player (3 heads are better than 4 for quality ) you can.

It's both. The movie contains footage of Jittlov's earlier works (some of which were slightly modified to fit the movie). This version of "I am the Wizard" has different lyrics to the original, which is why the lip-synch is slightly off. This is the movie version.

I don't have the clip, but: "I am the Wizard of Speed and Time and the world of film is where I shine. I've got magic to let you see just where you were and want to be. On imagination's silver screen, I can help you find your dream, dream, dream, dream. Come to me, round to me, all of my friends and dance to your wishes in the camera lens. Watch for the wizard in the robe of green and I will help you find your dream, dream, dream dream...

Err...is this from the movie, or from the old Disney show on special effects with the character 'Major FX'?
I know it's a stop motion sequence -- I just don't understand what the scene itself means.
