I used to occasionally get this station from my home in Brooklyn,NY.Sometimes on Channels 7 or higher,the groundwave gets "enhanced".It's not as good on Channels 2-6,however VHF-low stations can travel well over 1,000 miles when "E-skip" occurs.

I'm from West Philly about 14 at the time. I went to Florida for a family reunion in the second weekend in July; we came back home and the first thing we heard on the news was Frank Rizzo died from a heart attack in the john! I was so outdone, I couldn't believe it.

The longtime, venerable local Philadelphia network news anchor seen her among other videos, Diane Allen, BELIEVE IT OR NOT, is, these days (she rules Philly local news on various stations in the mid-80's through the earlyu 1990's roughly), a Republican New Jersey State Senator (who has quite moderate views on social issues...and has in recent years, albeit unsuccessfully, sought statewide office, having been thwarted in the respective primaries).
