Star Fox 64: Corneria, Expert - 263 hits (official)

I thought I'd make another SF64 video, it's been a little bit since I made one (if you can call a week a little bit), and Corneria is a level I haven't done yet, so I figured that I may as well.

This run is a personal best coming in at 263 hits, but it's not a top 20 score. (lowest on the N64HS top 20 is 283)

I can't really say much about the run, nothing special happened. I did crash my ship after the halfway point, but only because I was interrupted during filming. I had to acknowledge (spelling?) someone on another floor, causing me to yell and pause right next to the camera.

I see at 1:41 the video has been edited. But, I see that you addressed that in your video description. So, when you reach a checkpoint it saves your number of hits up to that point, and if you die it restarts you at that point with the number of hits you originally had when you reached it?

Yep, that's correct. The video was edited to restart from the checkpoint directly at the checkpoint. My camera caught some voices, including me shouting, so I didn't want that and crashed at that point.

i shot almost everything on screen in normal mode but it only adds up to about 263 (give or take)

whats the max score for this lvl?

N64HS lists the world record as 338, Cyberscore's top score is 328 (NTSC) and 338 (PAL)

This video is old, but I might as well ask: A bunch of ships are popping up as you play that I've never seen, like that quartet flying in formation at the part where you rescue Falco. I play the game on Expert Mode but I still don't see them. What gives?
