Man, I wish I had strong cultural heritage. In America our cultures have been completely lost. I'm white but that does'nt mean I don't feel for these people. The new generation should embrace their own culture and show the world, not leave it behind to join our cultural wasteland.

In this case, the "strange" person is making an effort to bring the music and culture of Mali to the whole world, as well as promoting local musicians from in and around Segu, Mali. I think that's a very *good* thing!
