  • In the end, only a "single payer" program will work. When you look at how Medicare has worked and how the insurance companies have still continued to send costs up - you can see how this is true. Start with just 1 item = Medicare operating costs - 3%, Private Insurance - over 30% in some cases. And there are many more.

  • Okay... Medicare is a Federal run insurance first and foremost. Medicare takes on the elderly and the disabled. So, to me this is very confusing. The Medicare that I know about pays 80% of patients cost. ???????? There are people that have private insurance and are very happy with that. What in the world are you thinking Doc.? Why don't you leave these people alone if they are happy with their insurance?
