Dang it. I miss the days of a packed Turner Field!

The Braves would go on to win this game, 9-4, but lose the next two, 4-0, and 11-0, respectively.
Late in this particular game, Scott Thorman on Atlanta homered, and I personally felt that Atlanta's offense wasn't as good as advertised--at the moment. I had a feeling that the offensive play was up for a temporary drop, as in a cake settling. I was right; they only scored one run in their next five games. (After Boston, Detroit swept them. HORRIBLE execution.)
Atlanta will win it all in '08

I loved being in an atmosphere where there were many road fans as well. (The Braves and Red Sox have a rivalry, but it's good-natured; the Braves used to play in Boston, and most Red Sox fans like us as their second-favorite team).
Usually, when the P.A. announcer refers to the other team, the crowd boos or really doesn't do anything; on this night, thousands popped heavily. When the game began, they broke out their, "LET'S go, RED Sox!" chant, and things got very loud.

In concordance with what I told "greenday101" (I originally was going to write you first, anyway), the 3:35 mark of this video is where this game really got intense. I attended it, myself (Monday, June 18, 2007, Atlanta, GA); it was the first of three games between the Braves and Red Sox in Atlanta.
I don't recall the score at the time of this at-bat, but I do remember Bobby Cox leaving Chuck James in to hit for himself, since he wanted to evaluate the inconsistent James a little more. --->

I was at that game, myself, sitting in section 407 (between home plate and first base...closer to home). At the 3:35 mark, Curt Schilling goes to 3-1 on Kelly Johnson, with the bases loaded and two outs. This section got into it, but they REALLY got into it in my section, as thousands of Braves fans and thousands of Red Sox fans cheered for a grand slam and an out, respectively. I also love the music that chimes in at 3:42, which really enhanced the drama of the moment.

Lots of traffic in the A. Still love my city though.

You handled that traffic like a champ. Very peaceful driver.. The world needs more of this. Turner Field looks awesome.
