Rambling Steve Gardner and Bassman Hisa Nakase at the 2011 Jazz Street Festival, Asagaya, Japan. The duo perform the Hank WilliamsSr. / Jimmy Davis classic "Lonesome Whistle". 2011 was the 15th year for the Asagaya Jazz Street festival.

Mississippi Bluesman, Rambling Steve Gardner, based in Tokyo, Japan, plays original, acoustic roots and country blues music, finger picking and slide on National Reso-phonic guitars, with harmonica, banjo, washboard and a variety of home-made instruments. You know, ACOUSTIC STUFF!

Rambling Steve Gardner divides his time between conducting American Roots'n Blues Music workshops, recording, playing and touring in Japan, Europe and the USA with the JERICHO ROAD SHOW.

His current Cd with the JERICHO ROAD SHOW, "WOOLY BULLY EXPRESS" (2010 Hoodoo/Blues Cat Records) their fifth release, is the follow up to "WALKIN' THE DOG", chosen as one of the top ten best ROOTS'N BLUES CDs of 2009 by New Orleans Community Public Radio station, WWOZ.

His original song, "BEEN ON THE JOB TOO LONG", from his JERICHO CD was nominated for best political song of the year (2008) by THE JUST PLAIN FOLKS international music awards, Nashville, TN.
