  • We are singing this song at my school for a PTA program

  • @kaylaapostolgirly Great, good luck with it!

Do you put it on Youtube ??

    Greetings Seirios

  • why does this make me cry so????

  • @stormylane It is not a sad song, it is a song to thank the sun for her warmth and that she came up again.

Mabe you have to sing this song, to great the sun and thank her for every new daylight you may see.

it's just an option, you do not have to it......!

    greating Seirios

  • @yanammm ,Hello

Her is the translation of the song!

We n’ de ya ho, We n’ de ya ho

We n’ de ya ho, We n’ de ya ho, ho ho ho

He ya ho he ya, Ya ya ya a traditional Cherokee song that is sung to greet the new day and to give thanks to the Great Spirit for being able to witness that new day.

I am of the Great Spirit, Ho! I am of the Great Spirit, Ho!

I am of the Great Spirit, Ho! I am of the Great Spirit, Ho! It is so, it is so.

Great Spirit, Great Spirit, Great Spirit

  • @stormylane Same here stormylane.

  • I'm looking to get 'We n' de ya ho' tatted on my arm with the heptagram of the great seal. Could anyone help me out with the correct spelling? As I've seen it written all sorts of way (A we n' de Yauh ho; for example), or even if you could help me spell it properly in the original Sequoya alphabet itself that would be awesome ! All comments greatly appreciated !

  • @stormylane

It makes me tear up as well, for my heritage I know nothing about, I believe...

  • I have some Cherokee blood, my grandma used to sing this song to me, I miss her :'( She was a part of a native drum group... This is a good song :)

  • I never have heard words smarter or as 100% true until I read the words of the Native Americans. What a wonderful world this would be if they had it.

  • @Seirios15 It is amazingly beautiful!! Gives me goosebumps! It's not haunting like many songs I've heard. But it's beautiful... as beautiful as a sunrise!
