@KnowTheAxiom I had always imagined that it was trying to say that no matter how shit life can be to you, there is something to hang on to, i.e. getting a letter from a favourite band or going to a gig with a mate (ex-mate?) I hadn't thought of your interpretation before but it's actually pretty interesting. Good call.

@FuckItSnoopy If someone can't consent to having sex with another person then it is rape. Therefore if you didn't want to be having sex with that person, but you were drunk and they took advantage of that fact, then it is rape. If you and a guy you like got drunk at a party together and slept together it is obviously different. Technically neither of you could give consent, but if you didn't want to have sex and the guy took advantage of you being drunk to get you to have sex it is.

It's not that she gives 0 fucks about the issue. She was molested, she was date raped, experienced a lot of this in the flesh. The fact that she's able to put all of this pain into snarky words & upbeat rhythm with a silly video speaks volumes of her strength. It screams she's not a victim, she won't be slut-shamed, she refuses to feel "ashamed" about what happened to her as many, many people sadly insist rape survivors should, as if it were "their fault." THIS is an artist who truly gives zero fucks. Once I see Ke$ha sing a song this offensive, this proudly, un-auto-tuned, I may consider spending $1.29 on her glittery ass.
