Strange the word Capitalism as the source of the problem is not heard once in this interview. We can't solve anything within the framework of the Capitalist mode of production. There are inherent contradictions that make interviews like this pointless despite some lucid and accurate comments by Ms. Shiva

isn't it funny how the people fighting for cheaper food are fat? food costs should reflect the costs in producing them and have no goverment kick backs that way people will be educated in the value of food and they wont abuse it and eat only what they need to live and not be pigs

Our World is lucky to have these educated women who stand for the cause of the poor.Without these committed people our life must have been pathetic.I think western countries should stop dumping subsidised food into poor countries in the name of world trade organization treaties.This is actually neo-imperialism followed by western countries.I hope that a democracy like India can match up to these so called"western powers"which sometimes lack morality in their government policies

read up on everything your country is doing before you say you'll defend them, and what 3rd world countries have fat people they eating to much Mcpukes, no wait they don't even have the basic clean water or food to survive, ya they don't exercise after eating their one meal every 2 days.
