Info on the AN/TRC-77 military field radio which was used by U.S ARMY Special Forces during the Vietnam war.

This model transmists morse code,(CW), only and was used by long-range recon patrols in North Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos.

  • Depends on propagation conditions, however with this set I have chatted from my station in the SF-Bay area to other stations in Australia, Japan, and Norway .. with only 15 watts of power .. .

    It can be great fun, and lots of information on the Internet covers HAM RADIO.

    You do NOT need to know MORSE CODE anymore. The FCC changed the rules, so anybody (even a non-US Citizen) can get a US Ham Radio license (my 10 year old son passed the written test, and so can YOU!!)
