A little fun fact: Toad's voice from Mario Party games is actually his voice from the Japanese version of Mario Kart 64. Same goes for Luigi, Peach, and Wario

this is a bit old but thought I'd add, the reason the CPU players "cheat" is because they're programmed with a rubber band AI - if you get a lead, they go faster, you go faster so do they, basically. this is also why you can never get ahead of the pack by much, but a CPU player can get way ahead of you.

D: Toad's Turnpike is the most awesome track in the game! Especially when you're playing with friends, knocking them into buses. :) And then of course there's mirror mode.

I never noticed that 50cc in mario kart wii has more items than other cc's.
there is definitely some computer cheating going on in this game too (as you are fully aware).

I agree. MK64 is really messed up because the AI seems to always be faster. I once took the shortcut in Wario Stadium on the first lap and they eventually caught up by the end. :/
