  • I can't believe I have just found this! I don't know why I was just thinking about him, but I once met him back in 1993. I was only 19 years old and he was sitting next to me on a flight from Manchester to Paris. We got chatting and then when we arrived in Paris he invited me to a club with him to watch him play, so of course I went along. A great guy who I have never forgotten. It is strange how people like this come into your life only for a moment but you never forget them.

  • Buckshot LaFunk:You are talking about the Steve Allen produced show Jazz Scene, hosted by the great Oscar Brown Jr.Teddy sounded great then as well as in this film clip.I guess in the USA were these musician were born I guess you can't just be a fine musician.Pretty sad in my opinion.I don't understand why Country Western can make you rich and a outstanding musican like Hank Jones lives in a apartment? After over 60 years of being a gifted soloist and fine studio musican.

  • Ahhhh.... Teddy Edwards..."Sunset Eyes" was my first introduction to his music. Loved him ever since. This clip is so soothing...what a musician...

  • Thankyou so much for all the support! i love that you love my music! I love you all!

  • One of nature's (and jazz's) great gentlemen. Loved his playing and when, once in conversation with him, loved his reminiscences. He had an astonishing memory for detail of jazz history and characters, and was also a lovely human being in addition to his being a giant of tenor saxophone playing.

  • I saw Teddy Edwards at a gig in Wigan ia town in the north -west of England that presents a yearly Jazz Festival. This was on a Sunday afternoon.A few years laterI was taken to a venue ion Burbank Ca and who was there sitting at a table Teddy Edwards.I loved his playing and tone andnot least what he could play ina high register.a true great

  • Wonderful. I've got a DVD with Teddy soloing over the same song more than 30 years ago. Great renditions, both.

  • I love this. Great saxophone man and artist.
