Rotor Imbalance

@FL4ME5 Ground resonance could be what happens when the lead/lag dampers are faulty or indeed, not in balance.
Ground resonance is the adverse reaction that happens when the helicopter aerodynamically tries to balance an unbalanced situation. Unfortunately, almost every helicopter is statically stable, and dynamically unstable, which results in the unbalanced situation aggravating, and creating ground resonance.

Yep...ground resonance, not unbalanced rotors. Go back to "flying" your virtual helicopters.

For what it's worth, that was a deliberately induced ground resonance test. You'll notice the thing was wired and tethered as well as surrounded by cameras. They wanted to know what would happen and they found out . . .

hey...ya...I think you got a leaky spark tube...

thats called GROUND RESONANCE dumbass. if you dont know what your posting read about it first. notice how its tied down? think about it, all thoes moving parts have to find their natural or "DYNAMIC" balance. if its tied down the thing will not be able to let the componants settle into their own rhythm, and will shake itself apart.

Theres some rough sex going on in there

the forces are quite amazing... the ch47 chinook is one of the most powerful choppers construction wise rotor wise all around a tough breed of choppers. to see it shred it self like THAT.... i wonder what the balance out was on the spec for that test.

Gonna need Macco!
Easy fix, all you have to do is tape a few coins on the blades until everything balances out. :-D
