Traveled to Franklin Canyon Park in the Hollywood hills which is the real "Myers Lake" so father and son could walk down that path where Andy and Opie walked.

Do a Google Earth for Franklin Canyon Park in Los Angeles. It's shrunken a lot but the lake is still there and the area is easily accessed. Many TV shows filmed scenes in that place.

Love the show! Especially like that "Miss Crump" character. Another favorite from the show is when that Darling girl sings the song "Salty Dog". Thanks for posting this video. I walked this same path last year with my own son. Not quite the same effect since he was 18 at the time but still made for great memories!

Yes, cool to do it. Cheesy to put it on YouTube. But I wouldn't mind if the title would have been accurate. I'm looking for the real credits.
