My family and I have eaten at Hunan Home's for the past 20 years and counting. My grandfather and two aunties (Nory and Tessie) are SF locals living in Russian Hill. They discovered Hunan Home back in the late 80's when they were in search of authentic, delicious Asian food. They ate at EVERY, single Asian restaurant in San Francisco Chinatown and Hunan Home's was the PERFECT fit. all the other Asian restaurants were a far, far second.....

Not only do they have scrumptious, close-to-homemade, fantastic Chinese food, but Hunan Home's also has the BEST customer service. James and the family makes you feel welcomed and always has "service with a smile" - - and the restaurant is CLEAN! The food is fresh and the portions are always generous.

hunan home is great. food is fantastic, prices are very reasonable, owner and staff are friendly....i always to come back to hunan home when in san francisco. for first time visitors to san francisco this is a must visit.

We ate here on the evening of 22nd Oct after a long journey from the UK.

The food was out of this world and the staff were so friendly and helpful....even recommending that our daughter shared food with us rather than ordering for her. This turned out to be excellent advice and you won't find many restaurants recommending that.

Just wish our stop in San Francisco had been longer so we could have returned but we will be returning on our next visit.

I LOVE this restaurant is one of the BEST chinese restaurant in the city...if not the BEST, when you go there make sure and ask for the "honey-walnuts glaced Prawns", you will be is heaven.... Love it.....
