@steefsax Sticky pads? Treat them with Ronzol (or other brand) lighter fluid - a little bit dropped onto the corner of a dollar bill: enough to wet aout a 2 sq-in patch. Put that corner of the dollar bill under the key, press the key closed and pull the bill out from under the pad. Why use a dollar? Because the paper is as strong as anything. But the real solution is to take two steps each time you play: (1) rinse your mouth with a glass of water before; (2) swab the sax out after playing.

wow where'd you get that left-handed tenor?! =P
Thanks for the tip!

@Vapor419 - Sure. Send me a private message with your contact info and we'll schedule a coaching session. Best wishes - John
Wonderful advice, John, but, can I please make a suggestion. When you talk, I have to turn up the volume on my computer to hear you good, but, when you play, the bell of your sax is MUCH closer to the microphone, making the volume MUCH louder, causing distortion (at least on my speakers). I have to immediately turn it down. I'm curious, when you mentioned stick shift, you motioned with your left arm. What country are you living in? I'm from America and our shift stick is on the right. LOL!

@lindypollard Thank you for your excellent comments. I have since learned Final Cut very well and will record audio separately for import after making necessary volume adjustments. Best wishes - John

thank you for the timely warning. I am just coming up to 45 years since I took up the sax at the beginning of the school year in New Zealand in 1967 and no doubt I have been haivng some bad habits ever since them. However, I noticed you talked about avoideing stick shifts and am wondering what information you have on that because the other great love of my hobby life which began the same year was driving and I absolutely hate atuomatic transmissions.

@proSpiritofTruth LOL I hate automatic trans too! The stick compounded the problem, but didn't cause it. My arm feels much better since I put the horn on the side and did the exercise shown in this video. Thank you for commenting. Best wishes - John
