The Comparative Aircraft Flight Efficiency (CAFE) Foundation has been selected by NASA to conduct an annual flight competition - The Personal Air Vehicle (PAV) Centennial Challenge. This $250,000 technology prize competition is a 5-part flight contest, designed to bring forth a new class of quiet, efficient, environmentally friendly and easy-to-operate personal air vehicles that will extend convenient air travel to a greatly expanded segment of the American public. The 2007 PAV Challenge will be staged August 4 -- August 11 at the CAFE Flight Test Center at Sonoma County's Charles M. Schulz Airport.
