@Havocide1 Thanks for your response. If you could help with this, it would be greatly appreciated. I have a problem with the 8330m on MetroPCS, hope you can help. I just bought a Playbook and discovered that the 4.5 OS will not work in conjunction with my phone, needs at least 5.0. OS. Is there any kind of workaround for the problem. I would love to buy a new BB, but the phones that are currently available on the server really suck.

@billspcclinic This should also work with any Blackberry phone. I also have a 8530 but have not tested it yet. The 8330 & 8530 are almost identical so it should work. The url for downloading is the program for both the phone and pc is in the video. This program is free and works well, although after the trial if you plan to use it all the time I suggest paying the 1 time fee. It's well worth the price if you plan to use your notebook daily.
This is the best explanation of tethering, great job. Would you say the pdanet app is better to use than the tetherberry app on a BB9900? Thanks

@toolbar2345 I personally have not tried tetherberry so I couldn't tell you. I can however say I have been using pdanet for years on both Blackberry and Android phones and have never had any problems with it. It is well worth it to buy the license for a 1 time fee of like $11 if you do a lot of traveling. Hope this helps!

thanks again for getting back to me so fast, im still a bit confused about witch phone to get and witch carrier i should go with. the site did not make it very clear as to models of phones to use, but it looks like any phone with the right os will work. i wont something that will give me 3g speeds and not get locked out by the carrier as i see some are starting to do. i could still use any info you think may help. thanks bill.

@billspcclinic It's really personal preference which phone you choose. I prefer Blackberry's because they are a great work phone. Android and iPhones are great for applications and multimedia. I have a Blackberry 8530 and love it personally. Touch screen phones tend to have lower battery life. I had a Motorola i1 from Boost Mobile and didn't care for the short battery life. The advantage with the android operating system was more free applications and faster OS.

thanks for your reply to my question, i have been asking every one how to do this but your the only one who has replied back. more questions if i may, can this be done with any other phones? and will any phone give me 3g speed? i have been thinking about Boost phones but would like to do it with a straight talk cell phone.
thanks.

@billspcclinic Yes, you can click on the "Products" tab at the junefabrics website to view the phones this can be used with. This works with Android, iPhones, Blackberrys, etc.
