Very rare Amberola. Only 100 were built. This one has serial number 1 which make it the first one produced of this model. Too bad the cabinet destroyed in fire. This phonograph beside my Edison Kinetoscope serial#8 are located in antique shop in Saudi for display

  • What fire was it in?

  • I used to have an Amberola IV in my Arts & Crafts-style bungalow in Sierra Madre, California. I bought it from the late Ken Blazier of Duarte, Ca., who obtained it from a picker who spotted it in a refinishing shop in Fresno. I sold it in the mid-1990's to Mike Khanchalian who still owns it. Very rare form!

  • Oops... Didn't see that.

I read about this on some forum a while back.

    Now I feel real dumb...

  • I have an Ambrola VI and it is a fine machine! Sounds a lot better then my "later" Amberola 30's and 40's, etc...
