Tetris - Amstrad CPC

I bought the big box version of this one a short while back because i wanted the official one. Perhaps i should have tested it first ;D Donno how they managed to mess up this game so much. Controls are way to heavy and then there is all the bugs. I realise that im probably the worst tetris player in the world, but even i notice the disturbing many flaws in this game. Like you can get a block stuck on the sides. The controls are so heavy that you need to pull the joystick several times in one direction before the block moves. But if you move down .. the controls are way to sensitive and suddenly you have 3 block there in one go. Do wonder how they managed to mess up that much making a fairly simple game like Tetris.

a very long story about the rights to tetris can be read and is reason why there are many different versions of tetris as for cpc this being one of the worst ones and its the official game..... to add to your comments - playability is awful, the music is annoying, the colour scheme terrible, the backdrop ridiculous why is there black and grey lines???? download the other cpc versions of tetris and post on here.... :0)))

The colour scheme is awefull. I think the black and grey lines are there for a reason. I recall seeing similar lines as an option in a pc PD version of the game. The lines are there to help making sure that the block falls right. Apparently that may help if you play very fast so you dont misfire or something.

WTF went wrong here? Even the the massive failures that were CD-i and Virtual Boy each have a decent version of Tetris. Well......at least the music is nice, if nothing else. CPC could do much better than this.

LOL did that square block get stuck in mid air at 0:31 ? Really poor version of tetris, and furthermore I had to play it on a GT64 Green Monitor CPC 464, after waiting for it to load from tape....I think the only thing I liked about it was the music, strangely.

Bloody awful. Thankfully I only lost £1.99 on budget for this game back in the day

Yeah somehow tetris was poor on the cpc. Shame that.
