I think I still have a picture of JB being interviewed by the white DJ on KGFJ in Los Angeles, Hunter Hancock. Didn't matter what kind of music you liked, you had to respect the man.

James Brown " The beast that ever lived"

I have total respect for James Brown but this song brings back such terrible memories for me. When I was eleven years old my mother would make me and my older sister bathe my old grandma, and every time, I mean every time my mom would put this record on while we were doing it. Don't parents know what they do to kids?

Read Night Train by Clyde Edgerton for a great story about this type of music in 1963.

@rotorlite Where did you have your radio show? When? Ever hear of The White Knights with the Brown Sound? They were outta Pittsburgh circa 1964 - 1974 (71-74 with 2 new members), 1989 - 1997 (four first original members). The Jaggerz! First known for beating out the O'Jays for a Summer gig at The Cove at Geneva On The Lake in OH in the Summer of 1965.
