Folks, over the course of a lifetime, I have heard a LOT of songs...not that I'm particularly OLD, but I'm not particularly young, either. But I must honestly state that Tim McGraw's treatment of this Bruce Robison powerhouse just knocked me for a loop as few songs have ever done in my lifetime....this tune is a thing of rare beauty, a melancholy masterpiece that speaks of the tragic spaces that can happen to people...spaces of misunderstanding, spaces looking for words to express them...that words cannot fully express. This song is the impact standard that I have tried to make all my own self-penned tunes measure up to....
I adore the brutal beauty of this wonderful song, a tale of the cost in bitterness, resentment, and pain
that refusal to communicate and yield can exact...

This is what happens when two people who should be in love with one another choose to be, instead, "angry all the time"......

This song really kicks...I learned how to write relationship songs from this song.

Yeah, the lyrics are true. I think that's part of what drew me to this song in the first place.

Actually, there's two...the orange one you see in the background (Felicia) and the calico one at the end (Dana)...they seem to like it sometimes when I sing! lol

I wonder if they really like my music or they're just trying to get famous at my expense! lol
