I know people who bristle at the word "black"--and people who don't. The problem is that it's an individual decision---if I get offended because some guy referred to me as "black"---how was he supposed to know I have a problem with it when he went to school with many folks who didn't care?

Well, MrAnonymize, how about we let people come to their own conclusions about which identity they choose to proclaim? Hmmm? Doesn't that sound democratic?
