I JUST WANTED TO SAY THANK YOU SO MUCH TO EVERYONE WHO HAS BEEN LEAVING SUCH WONDERFUL COMMENTS AND CONGRATULATIONS. I APPRECIATE ALL OF YOUR COMMENTS SO THANK YOU GUYS!

Hey guys!

This is my entry for MakeupbyTiffanyD's "Old Hollywood" themed contest. I was inspired mostly by Jean Harlow because I absolutely adore her.

I apologize for the lack of a live tutorial, my video camera kept shutting off and it was insane, so I had to go with pictures. I included pictures of my process, but I left out descriptions in order to keep the video clean and short. I will include the steps here for those who want to read it.

1. Primed/moisturized my face as usual, and applied foundation to bottom of my face

2. Covered brows using a gluestick (BlancheBabcock has an amazing tutorial on it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0mhMb5mcBI )

3. Went over brows using a white face makeup crayon and set it with white eyeshadow

4. Went over brows with a thick layer of concealer and set with face powder

5. Continued foundation on brows and top portion of face

6. Apply a pink blush to the apples of my cheeks (NYX Pinky)

7. Used Wet&Wild gel liner to draw on brows

8. Applied eyeshadow from begining of brow down into the crease (NYX red bean pie)

9. Drew on new lip shape using a dark red liner, and NYX lipstick in Bruised

10. Applied false lashes, mascara and a thin coat of liquid liner to top lashline

11. Added some beauty marks and tried to do something "old hollywood-ish" with my hair haha, and added my favorite hat!

Thanks everyone for watching, and a HUGE thank you to Tiffany for the contest. I hope you all like it and don't mind all the pictures I added, I had so much fun with the look I got a little carried away!

  • Am I the only person who sees the problem in doing a photo montage versus ACTUALLY SHOWING HOW TO PUT THE MAKE UP ON...stroke technique, brushes used etc-this is just like a photo series..it's not very instructional really.

  • @xLetThemEatCakex It wasn't actually meant to be instructional, it was a contest entry. :)

  • she looks like betty davis

  • @estelaholguin100 Aw, thanks!

  • Wow, the best 1920 demo video I have ever seen! Great job and I was wondering when someone was going to pull out a glue stick! Wooooow!

  • @mdyclls Thanks!!! Yeah, gluesticks definitely come in handy :)
