Joe Noonan has been leading trips swimming with wild dolphins and whales for the past sixteen years. A former healer, therapist, corporate consultant and wilderness guide, Joe leads his trips with much playfulness and joy.

He is called 'The Dolphin Whisperer' for his love of the dolphins and how they respond to him. He replies that we are all dolphin whisperers, for the ability to speak the universal language of the heart is within us all.

Joe is an optimistic advocate for dolphins and whales and has traveled internationally on their behalf. In 2008 he was given the name Nimbeesh, aka 'Merman', by a group of Native Elders in recognition of his work.

Thanks so much for sharing this video and for your words in it - they sure come from the Soul....! I think everyone who has commented have already said what I feel. Swimming with them is one of my dreams too, and the video has made me shed a few tears, I can't explain it but it's a mixture of joy and deep feelings I get when I see these beautiful creatures..They touch one's Soul. Scenes like these is I guess the main reason for me to consider my choice of future studies. I have one and a half year left before I start on a university and the choice is between chemistry and biology... Right now, it's heavy on the marine biology side, and especially towards cetology...

As I watch this I'm also searching for equipment I can use in private studies of cetaceans... Among them a hydrophone so I might hear them when I can't see them... And an underwater camera of course... =P
