Mike And The Mechanics- The Living Years [Live]

Live version of the song "The Living Years" by Mike and the Mechanics at the Prince's trust! Hopefully this sounds ok because the source video I have of this performance wasn't in the best quality...

Every time I hear this song I cry. My Dad and I were estranged from the time I was 7 until I was 25. Shortly after we worked some of our stuff out, he died. I wasn't there. I wish we could have had more time to work it ALL out.

There are very few reasons why people don't see eye to eye. Some of them are greed and lazyness. People stop being lazy and get off your ass and do something for someone. This way instead of tearing up when you hear this song you'll feel great and truly appreciate why you are alive.

Actually it was co-written by BA Robertson - Rutherford only wrote the music. Robertson penned the lyrics after the death of his father (who dies only weeks before the birth of Robertson's son).
