This is the 1985 Megadeth version of These Boots, on the album Killing Is My Business... And Business Is Good! — this version was produced more as a parody than as a cover. When the album started selling well, the writer of the song, Lee Hazlewood, began demanding that the song be omitted, due to it being a "perversion of the original". Dave Mustaine made the point that Hazlewood had been paid royalties for years before his complaint, but eventually omitted the song anyway. A censored version of the track can be found on the album's 'deluxe edition' released in 2002.

  • FUCK THE P.M.R.C.

  • I wonder why songs are censored. Kids see worse things on TV, on advertising, on videogames, on books, and so on.

    Come on!

  • @bravesfan528 Fucking lame. Nancy Sinatra can go suck it.

  • The modified lyrics are truly inspired, and my personal favorite line change is "I just got me a brand new box of matches" to "I just got me a brand new box-spring mattress".

  • @cycoteddykgb pmrc actually wasnt behind this. someone who like produced the original song for nancy sinatra was offended on how they covered this. and put up a fucking fight

  • these boots are made for wacken. 2:33

  • a little bit hectic.

  • @DCHammett It has to do with the original writer of the song. The person who originally wrote the song didn't consent to Dave Mustaine doing a cover, so they sued and won rights over the song. They bleep out any original parts

  • @DCHammett It's censored because the guy who wrote the original hates this version and doesn't allow it's continued uncensored release. This info is from Dave's bio.

  • Wait, so I'm not the only one who got the song censored on the disc???

  • You know, I love both Megadeth and Metallica, but why does it sound like Metallica's Whiplash sound so similar..

  • lol thats funny..Puss in boots are in the side bar...
