So this started as a song I wrote for my fist FTO assignment at work. We were supposed to do a training video and I was bored by all of the ones that I had previously seen, so I decided to put a little of my creativity into one. This video is in no way endorsed or approved by the maker of the AIRTRAQ device. This video is intended to be entertaining and fun while still holding some educational properties. Hey there, how's the airtraq working for you? I just got a demo of it, and it's killer on a an airway manican. Before we start using them in the field, I wanted to get a paramedic's feeling on how well it works -- especially considering airway debris and secretions. I appreciate any information.

So far I haven't heard of any problems among our service. We've been using them for over a year at least.....pretty close to a year and a half maybe. It's no different than a normal intubation using the larygoscope blades. You can suction secretions or fluids from the airway and remove foreign body obscrutions with your normal methods. I find it to be extremely beneficial for pt's with cervical immobilization in place, or to intubate pt's who are in a sitting up position.
