Here is one of my Round 4 test fans. This time I'm mounting the fans in push condition,
and reduced the flow chamber area to make the anemometer more sensetive to lower flow rates.
Also using my new Canon T2i for doing the video and my new Zoom H1 handy recorder for audio.
I also added a Scythe Kaze Master fan controller to display RPM and control the fan.
Two passive (Silent) power supplies 12V and 5V provide power. In addition added my DROID as
a secondary noise measurement tool...I figured why not..the more the better.
Round 4 Testing Notes:
-Fan in push mounted on an XSPC RS120 Radiator
-Anemometer vane in duct outlet is completely arbitrary for Round 4 comparison use only
-Sound Meters also arbitrary for relative comparison only
-Push Condition Mounted finger tight M4 nuts, no gaskets
-Voltage measured at fan plug
-RPM via Scythe Kaze Master when RPM wire is present
-Video - Canon T2i in HD 1920/30fps quality, Tokina SD 12-24 F4 (IF) DX Lens
-Audio - Zoom H1 Stereo 90 degree XY microphone Handy Recorder mounted in hotshoe aimed at fan,
96khz,16bit wav, Low Cut On, Level 90 manual gain
-Combined Video/Audio in Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 10, rendered in HD 8MB/S .wmv
Cheers!
Martin
Are AP-14's silent? I want to have relatively silent gaming-PC. I'm going to buy 4 fans.

I've got one of the 14 models cooling my TRUE 120, and I have to say that it's by far the best fan I've ever used. The thing is so quiet and it pushes a good amount of air too. The only thing that's keeping me from replacing every fan in my case with one of these is money... They're so good!

Fantastic fan !

Gentle Typhoons are FTW!
Low starting voltage, great noise profile, nice static pressure :)
It's a shame they're out of stock a lot though.
