We shouldn't be offended by people laughing at other people's problems because the main reason people laugh is to help them deal with things that frighten them. That's an emotional survival trait that in many situations can save human lives. My Aunt Mary whose only son died in Vietnam was always laughing at everything and she told me it was one of the ways she kept herself from falling to pieces with grief which she had too many people needing her help as a nurse to let herself sink into.

God is very real and God's Holy Spirit dwells in each of us giving us gifts of wisdom and courage and compassion for others which are gifts the existence of human problems enables to be displayed by using these gifts to overcome those problems. If you want to judge God harshly for that consider that every work of human fiction is about characters having problems, The purpose of problems is to overcome them.

So many people obsess about thier body image and they complain about such petty things; they get nose jobs, become anorexic, get face lifts, get botox, but these poor children just want to look like "normal" human beings and not get stared at or ridiculed. To all of us who are born without deformities -The next time we wish we had a better nose, smaller ears, wish we were taller, any little petty thing we don't like about our image, just think of what these poor children have to go through.

Our society puts so much emphasis on physical appearance! The main concern for these kids should be the life-threatening and dangerous aspects of their conditions, not the way they look! Although there are so many medical breakthroughs to be made when it comes to facial deformities as a result of this. I know some people with facial deformities and you would never know because their procedures did so much
