Shishukunj International Project 2004-2009. This video shows the Ashrams progress to date with the help of well wishers from London UK.

The ashram has been running over the past 50 years clutching at straws and only just making ends meet. However, since the initiation of the project since 2004, we have jumped leaps and bounds in providing; shelter for 150 children from orphans to helpless single parents; Fresh drinking water; Solar panels to provide hot water to the centre; Cow shed with 4 cows for the provision of daily milk; regular health checks; High Quality education from Standard 1 to 10 in English medium; Gober Gas for cooking; School Uniforms ; Food and 4 Dormitories with 1 Large Playing field.

The current shortfall are 6 classrooms, 1 Science Lab and the maintenance and the on-going running costs of the School.

We pledge you to come and join us in achieving our current shortfall, in any capacity you can and make this your worthwhile lifetime experience to share and care.

  • This is so beautiful. Whatever we do makes such a difference to these children, who can continue to smile despite lacking so much. They can teach us, in the western society, much more than we can teach them. I would love to visit them again, and see how the ashram and the children who call it home have developed in these two years. snehalben
