Excellent. I thought my new screen wasn't working but this showed me that the ribbon cable needs a bit of a push.

Thank you so much!! I'm buying a new screen for my treo and i was under the impression that you just crack it open and replace the screen. I would have broken something or just had no clue what to do. Great and very informative tutorial!!!!

Not too bad, but he needs to turn down the radio - that's distracting.

I replaced the screens on 2 treos and everything works but the touchscreen doesn't work on one. Any idea what my problem might be? The other one works perfectly thanks alot.
Screen installed fine, but some buttons don't work now. Re-seated the keyboard cable 3 times now with no luck. Any hints?

Just make sure the cable is all the way in to its slot. It may lock in place, but not be in all the way.

Hey! That was quick!! There is a ring on the lens. The left side of the camera has a black 1/2 circle. I think its one of the rubber "washers" that sits on the lens, but I can't get it to stay out of the way when I put the phone back together. There is one thick rubber washer that sits on top of the lens between it and the camera. I was thinking of just removing that but then there would be no cushion between the lens and the little metal bracket that sits on top of it.

It's the rubber washer that, at first, I forgot to put back in my Treo in the video. You'll just have to find a way to keep the Treo face down while you put the back cover on. This will not allow it to come up and off of the camera lens.

Would this method work with a 680?

Answer: The 680 is not a 650. Therefore, I don't know. I also stopped using a Treo years ago. Great idea, awful software.
