Obama's visit and talks with Thein Sein, and Su Kyi's release and visits to the US and UK have hopefully marked the start of a new beginning for Burma. You have to give them some credit, a country that has lived under the fear of the Junta for many years will take lots of time, and encouragement, to reach democracy. It won't happen over night. Just a couple of years ago, Su Kyi was not even allowed out of her house, never mind visiting the states and the UK!
