A short documentary showing the life of people in the village of Mutenia (in the Sompio area, which is why the title is "Sompio") in Finnish Lapland in 1962. The village was abbandoned after the building of a huge dam that covered most of the land near the village in 1967. Along with Mutenia 6 other small villages were totally or partially drowned.

we visited a Sami campground at Duved in Sweden and we were told the Swedish govt is slowly squeezing them off their lands, just as in Finland. Too bad.
