Amazing technique!! Clean strokes, meticulous touch and rudimentary vocabulary that's absolutely limitless and most importantly he grooves hard!! P.S. He's dressed to the nines and smiling with ease. He definitely deserved the rites to become Poppa Jo Jones sole heir to the drun throne and then some.

I love the fact that the band's house drummer is fully visible behind Max, and that you can see his face. Basically the same reaction I'm having now, he's so into it. I just love watching other drummers react to max. Even Elvin Jones had some great reactions (see the Jones Roach Blakey drum battle somewhere on youtube.) Just priceless

the cameraman was surely a genius of cinematographie in his time, this shoot was assumedly his day gig to make ends meet. Genius is a tough load to bear.

awesome video, but why the hell did the camera man have to zoom in and out real fast at the 45 second mark, all it did was make me dizzy.
