Why is there a streak of lightning coming straight at you? Is it a camera fault or did you catch a streamer?

Cam fault.

The strike that looks like it's in the backyard is an artifact of the camera. In frame by frame it has exactly the same pattern as the more distant bolt. Although even the more distant one is pretty close though.
