FFXII 122333 Earliest Possible Firefly

Due to this amazing discovery lately posted on Dec 24, 2007 by ZERO3690
I decided to make a video showing how to get firefly and actually seeing a Firefly
drop from a Slaven Wilder. This can be very hard though at this early stage of game.
But its still worth a try.
I take NO CREDIT for this. I just made this video to include in my FAQ Guide and have given
these 2 players the proper credits in my FAQ Guide.

Awesome Trick! I started my first LLG game ever, and This sounds good!

Why cant we just ride the chocobo until the Orange save crystal, so we can teleport back anytime we want, and mount the chocobo right next to the exit? and one last thing... Why did you chain wolves at the start? Thanks =P

Chaining the wolves at the start permits the player to get the highest chain possible. When you petrify afterwards the chain remains at the highest possible. In other words the Slaven drops a firefly at 3% chance on their first loot but at the highest chain the firefly's drop now is increased to 12% chance to drop. That's why I chained the wolves.

game just gets sorta glitchty with spawning breaks effectiveness and drop rate when u do this :D

i got 4 fire flies and 10k in loot monies :]

hold on.....wen can u acquire the spell break?

You can always using the ancient sword if break isn't available. It has petrify element which you can get ancient sword in Leviathan. I don't really remember when break is available.

@dopedfrog  i can't seem to keep the chain, i chain the wolves and break the slaven but i get the regular loot not the big coin. what's going on?

@dopedfrog couldn't you also use Golden Needle while equipped with nihophola to get the same effect?

I'm confused... can you restart the game on "challenge mode" once you beat it, like ratchet and clank?

You don't even have to go to the Highwaste to get a firefly. Take the ferry to the North Bank in the Estersands, travel to the north end of the zone, up the hill just before heading into the Highwaste, there's 2 slavens running around and you can just use Steal on them to get Firefly.
